Technical Recruiter

IXL Learning, a leading edtech company with products used by 14 million students worldwide, is seeking a highly motivated Recruiter to help us hire top talent for our engineering and product teams. As a Recruiter at IXL, you will source and work closely with individual candidates. You will work side by side with the recruiting team, hiring managers, and peers within IXL to ensure that we hire the best individuals to work toward our mission.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and ability to cultivate great relationships with stakeholders and team members. You must be highly organized, detail-oriented with strong candidate sourcing and closing skills. Those with business recruiting experience looking to move into a technical recruiting role will be considered.

This is a full time position with a hybrid work schedule for candidates close to our San Mateo, CA office.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Partner with hiring managers to deeply understand hiring needs and help to strategize best recruiting efforts and fill open positions
• Manage full-cycle engineering and product recruiting for critical reqs across teams to include sourcing and screening candidates, conducting initial interviews, candidate management throughout the hiring process and presenting/negotiating offers
• Develop and execute an effective sourcing strategy using a variety of channels   
• Research, engage and maintain long-term relationships with high-caliber passive talent and build the best network of candidates for our teams
• Become an expert on IXL Learning and speak to candidates about our products, positions, and company culture
• Maintain a seamless and efficient candidate experience that results in a positive impression of IXL Learning, regardless of the outcome
• Periodically attend career fairs and other recruiting events as needed

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor’s degree
• 2+ years of experience as a full-cycle recruiter across a variety of roles and skill sets, preferably to include technical or product recruiting
• A track record of success filling positions with quality candidates
• Focused experience in sourcing candidates using internet search skills via LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards and other platforms and tools
• Persuasive communication and savvy interpersonal skills with the ability to take initiative and build strong, productive relationships
• Strong eye for talent and an excellent ability to connect candidates with the right opportunities
• Highly self-motivated and driven
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with Greenhouse or other ATS, Google Suite
• Passionate about education and technology

The base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $115,000 + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
