Job Description

This position exists to provide services and support relating to the operation of Campus Crossing. Responsibilities

Customer Service.

  • On a daily basis, live the mission, vision and values of M State to ensure a positive experience for all students and stakeholders.  Service to M State students and stakeholders is a core component of the position and work responsibilities.

Provide the highest quality of service to customers at all times so that satisfaction is maintained.

  • Speaks politely and clearly to all customer (internal & external).

  • Offers assistance and answers questions courteously and tactfully.

  • Meets hygiene standards. Dresses appropriately to meet work requirements.

  • Establishes and maintains a good working relationship with all co-workers, faculty, staff, students, and management 100% of the time.

  • Assist other personnel in the performance of their duties when necessary.

Assist in the operation of retail food, book, supply, and clothing facility to ensure and maintain the standards so that customers can be properly served and products are in stock.

  • Accurate daily cash counting, reconciliation and data entry, count cash bank and summarize funds received at end of shift.

  • Operation of point-of-sale system.

  • Receive payments of cash, checks, cards, and charges from customers for goods or services.

  • Making change and issuing receipt for goods or services.

  • Maintain proper security of cash at all times.

  • Disbursement of student checks.          

  • Post/Process approved bookstore charges.

  • Answer questions from customers.

  • Maintain proper stock levels (restocking).

  • Assist in compiling lists of required and recommended texts and supplies for each class from information provided by faculty so that students will know what they have to purchase.

  • Receive, Inventory, price and sell merchandise according to established policy

  • Return un-saleable merchandise for credit using computerized inventory management software

  • Use of computerized textbook and other retail inventory management systems

  • Operate a variety of office equipment (computer, copier, fax, etc.)

  • Use computerized accounting systems and software used by the State.

  • Record internal sales and make appropriate charge backs.

  • Advertises and displays merchandise, coordinates promotions.

Ensure store preparation is completed daily and maintain the highest standard of quality so that customers can be properly served.

  • Serving and replenishing items from counters, warmers and coolers.

  • Ensure area is well stocked and visually appealing to customers.

  • Follow standards holding temperatures for prepared foods.

  • Maintain a clean work area.

  • Operate various equipment.

  • Set out proper item identifiers.

  • Follows safety rules.

  • Reports all injuries immediately to supervisor.

  • Compliance with hand washing and glove use procedures.

  • Ensure that work area is free from work hazards this includes the removal of tripping hazards, clean up slip hazards, proper knife storage, and burn prevention.

  • Stops co-workers who are working in an unsafe manner.

  • Clean chairs, tables, counter, and shelves to ensure the acceptable appearance of store throughout shift.

  • Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment to ensure compliance with food regulatory policy and procedur
