Supply Chain Professional Development Program - Class of 2024 

Where the Chemistry Happens… BASF's Professional Development Programs (PDPs) were created to provide highly motivated, mobile-minded current university students an opportunity to enhance their professional skills through a variety of diverse learning experiences. Participants will contribute to real-world rotational assignments within different domestic locations. They will explore career options and develop technical and professional decision-making skills, while fulfilling specific business needs. Participants also have the opportunity to assess their capabilities, skills, and interests and gain valuable exposure to BASF's culture, values, and decision-makers. BASF’s Agricultural Solutions Early Career Rotational Development Program (PDP) is a two-year rotational program which will equip participants with the experiences, knowledge, and skills necessary to understand how BASF Agricultural Solutions supply chain organization delivers value to our customers. Participants will gain experiences in business analytics, continuous improvement principles and practices, and gain an understanding of supply chain operations to accelerate their development. Participants can expect support from leaders, assignment managers and assigned program manager as you grow towards becoming a future leader. The Supply Chain Management team is charged with catalyzing value creation, spanning from how our business operates, understanding customer demand, manufacturing implications, and our supply base. As a function we are always finding solutions, looking to improve, and working to deliver the highest standards of excellence in a sustainable way. Program participants get the opportunity to gain high level visibility to leadership and create significant impact within a global manufacturing organization. They gain experience learning Supply Chain management tools, leading meetings and business reviews, presenting to Senior Leadership and driving continuous improvement projects. Participants will get the unique opportunity to work on different functions across the supply chain organization with 3 assignments, each lasting 8 months and spanning across Purchasing, Direct/Indirect Commodity Management, Logistics, Supplier Development, Quality, Analytics, Strategy. These assignments can help you gain a diverse perspective on how BASF Agricultural Solutions operates. Participants will work closely with cross functional teams and key stakeholders to execute supply chain strategy contributing towards the right balance between economic, environmental and social value creation for a sustainable and efficient agricultural sector.  Upon successfully completing the program, participants have the opportunity for placement into individual contributor role within the supply chain function. As a program participant, you will:  • Work on three unique assignment that support larger projects as well as the day-to-day operations across the Supply Chain function during the program. • Grow your technical expertise and expand your skills in new areas. • Collaborate with diverse teams to develop innovative solutions to support the agricultural industry • Receive technical training, mentorship, and coaching from experienced team members and managers. • Participate in leadership development training that enhances professional and entrepreneurial skills. • Share functional accomplishments internally and externally through presentations and written reports. YOU MUST HAVE ·        Bachelor’s degree preferably in supply chain (Purchasing, Category Management, Logistics, or related field of study) ·        Must have obtained degree within 12 months of the date of hire ·        Authorized to work in the U.S. now and in the future without restrictions or future sponsorship ·        Self-driven and able to work with geographically dispersed teams ·        Open to working in multiple geographic locations throughout rotational program
 

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
