POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Sports Director, the Gym / Field Supervisor will supervise specific adult and/or youth programs including (but not limited to): basketball, baseball, indoor soccer, volleyball etc. The gym/field Supervisor is also responsible for responding to various situations in order to ensure safety for participants and spectators and opens and closes the site as need. This position must perform program responsibilities in accordance with the policies, goals, mission, values and objectives of the Wichita Falls YMCA. This is a seasonal position that operates weekday evenings and weekend days and evenings.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Supervises activities at site(s) and surrounding areas to ensure safety and welfare of users.
- Reports and monitors all mechanical and equipment problems.
- Sets up equipment, and returns equipment to storage.
- Ensures cleanliness and safety of facilities and equipment.
- Also may include cleaning restrooms, trash removal, sweeping and putting the facility/fields to an organized and clean state.
- Enforces all rules, regulations and policies, maintains proper documentation and reports incidents and accidents.
- Assists other staff. Answer inquiries from participants, and provides information.
- Attend meetings and approved training as required.
- May be responsible for opening and closing a facility.
- May work at any location and adjust your schedule as to the needs of the association.
- Adheres to association and position training requirements.
- Work various hours and locations to meet association needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager
