Internship: Strategic Finance and Accounting

Our mission is to drive this transformation by providing companies with better data, enabling them to make better decisions, and contribute to creating a better world.</p> <p>We at Scoutbee are looking for a <strong>Strategic Finance and Accounting Intern</strong> in our <strong>Berlin</strong> office, and work as a part of the core finance team. We prepare internal and external financial reports, while creating financial literacy across the company, as well as monitoring the company’s performance and KPIs. </p> <p>You will be working on several strategic projects ranging from financial planning, financial process optimizations and several key ad-hoc projects. It demands flexibility and an understanding of financial standards, accounting and analytical thinking. The role has touch points with several operational managers at Scoutbee from all the departments both in Germany as well as in the US. </p> <p><strong>Your role in our Hive</strong></p> <p>Actively supporting both the Strategic Finance and Accounting teams with their daily operations which includes:</p> <ul> <li>Assisting with the preparation and reporting of internal and external financial statements and presentations, while addressing critical ad-hoc topics</li> <li>Daily management of financial operations such as modeling, planning, forecasting, budgeting, and controlling. </li> <li>Participating in Investor Relations activities </li> <li>Assisting with the monthly closing process</li> <li>Managing pre-bookings and accounts receivable and payable</li> </ul> <p><strong>What you bring to our beehive</strong></p> <ul> <li>Currently enrolled in a German university at a Bachelor’s or Master’s level (finance, business, data)</li> <li>Basic Understanding of Financial Reporting, Accounting and Financial Modeling</li> <li>Knowledge of Microsoft Office (focus on Excel and PowerPoint) is needed, knowledge of VBA is a plus</li> <li>Prior experience in controlling, budgeting and/or Finance is a plus</li> <li>High motivation, very energetic and independent in handling business challenges</li> <li>We fail fast and learn faster - You must be highly adaptive, willing to be agile and a quick learner</li> <li>To-Do-mentality with strong communication skills</li> <li>Fluent in English, German is a plus</li> </ul> <p><strong>What's in it for you?</strong></p> <ul> <li>Competitive hourly rate</li> <li>Work with a team that is on a mission to revolutionize digital procurement - for better data, better decisions and a better world</li> <li>Contribute your ideas and work on challenging projects that will impact the future of modern procurement</li> <li>Access to German and English language courses via Lingoda, customized to your level and availability</li> </ul> <p><strong>We'd love to hear from you!</strong></p> <p>At Scoutbee, we’re on a mission to connect.
