Position Summary
The Managed Accounts Construction Coordinator manages all construction related projects for the electric and gas systems for CPS Energy’s Managed Accounts
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Oversees the construction projects of CPS Energy’s Managed (Commercial & Industrial) Accounts; activities include, but are not limited to: Overhead & Underground Projects, Electric and Gas Line Extensions, Duplicate Feed, Distributive Generation.
- Serves as liaison between CPS Energy’s Key Account Management, Engineering and Construction teams.
- Schedules, attends and facilitates Design and Construction Meetings involving CPS Energy’s Managed Accounts.
- Develops and maintains a project tracking database to provide prompt and accurate detail upon request.
- Communicates project status with stakeholders on regular intervals.
- Educates the Account Managers on Design and Construction policies and processes to ensure the flow of accurate information.
- Manages customer requested outages.
- Coordinates CPS Energy requested outages involving CPS Energy’s Managed Accounts.
- Coordinates project schedules, resources, equipment, and information to meet customer needs.
- Provides ongoing customer support for construction related issues.
- Serves as the point of contact for all new connection and system improvement projects and communicates project status to all stakeholders.
- Works with CPS Energy engineering groups to provide clarification on design standards and construction practices/standards.
- Interfaces with customer engineering and construction staff/contractors to resolve construction related issues.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Skills
Minimum Knowledge and Abilities
Knowledge of the inner workings of the CPS Energy electrical and gas system.Comfortable with outdoor/non-office work and working remotelyComfortable and experienced with giving presentations to groups and speaking with customers.Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail and schedulingEffective oral and written communication skills.Ability to communicate effectively and develop successful long-term relationships with internal/external stakeholders while exemplifying the highest degree of professionalism, clarity, and diplomacyAbility to pass security screening and maintain access to Managed Accounts with restricted access requirements.Possess a valid driver’s license with a history of a safe driving record in accordance with CPSE policies, procedures, safety standards, and applicable laws and regulationsPreferred Qualifications
- Experience in any of the following areas:
- Customer Service
- Energy efficiency/utility engineering design and construction
- Working with electric and gas utility distribution systems
- Knowledge of overhead & underground electric distribution design and construction standards
- Knowledge of Designer/GIS and WMIS
- Knowledge of three-phase underground electric distribution design and construction standards
- Knowledge of gas design and construction standards
- Knowledge of Electric Service Standards
- Managed construction of electric/gas utility distribution infrastructure
- Some college preferred.
