R&D Lab Supervisor

If you are a Research and Development professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in our Louisville, Kentucky location, you will be responsible for the everyday operations of the lab and will perform a variety of tests for product design verification and qualification.  For the right candidate, this role can lead to other challenging opportunities in engineering in Louisville, or perhaps within the vast Emerson network of companies around the world!

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE: 

• Fabricate prototypes for new product development
• Test, screen, and optimize the design with feedback to engineers
• Diagnose malfunctioning products 
• Make modifications and recommendations
• Test stand modifications and demo products
• Perform tests or experiments from specific standard instructions and records data for analysis
• Direct the activities and provide technical guidance to lab technicians

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED: 

• Associates Degree 
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing/engineering capacity 
• Must have proficient written and oral skills
• Legal Authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided for this role

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:   

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• 2 years supervisory experience
• Strong leadership skills and ability to communicate professionally, internally and externally
• Strong multitasking skills with the ability to balance a dynamic and diverse project portfolio
• Knowledge in machining and machining equipment
• Basic skills in PLC Programming and Data Acquisition Systems
• Basic electrical circuitry knowledge
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
