About the role

The Employer of Record (EOR) team at Rippling is at the forefront of our mission to expand into new countries and enable businesses worldwide to operate seamlessly. This team builds the critical products and platforms that power our global expansion efforts.

Our work directly impacts essential user flows, including:

• Ensuring timely and accurate payroll for customers.
• Guaranteeing compliance with local and international policies.
• Driving the deposit calculation and collection engine.

Rippling's vision is to expand into hundreds of countries in the coming years. As a Senior Software Engineer on the EOR team, you'll be tasked with designing and building scalable, extensible solutions to support this rapid growth. This means solving complex engineering challenges and crafting generic, high-quality systems that maintain agility without compromising on scalability or performance.

What You'll Do

• Serve as a senior engineer within the Global Expansion organization, driving technical excellence and innovation.
• Develop and improve user-facing features, working across the stack to make them shine
• Maintain a high engineering standard by participating in technical discussions, reviewing specifications, and providing constructive feedback and recommendations.
• Collaborate closely with PMs, designers, and other experts to figure out the best way to bring features to life.
• Create seamless, impactful experiences for both our UI and API layers.
• Move quickly and confidently, making smart decisions to fill in the gaps where product details aren’t fully defined—always learning from user feedback.
• Play an active role in building a culture of excellence within our product and engineering teams.

What You'll Need

• Extensive Experience: Over 5 years in product engineering with expertise in Python, Django, or related technologies.
• Scalability Insight: Proven track record with systems operating at significant technical and organizational scales.
• Product Intuition: Strong sense of design and user experience, with the ability to quickly identify and implement enhancements.
• Frontend Expertise: Strong command of frontend development patterns and frameworks, such as MVC and MVVM.
• UI Development: Deep experience building user interfaces with React or similar frameworks.
• Project Leadership: Successful history of shipping complex projects from concept to completion.
• CS Fundamentals: Deep understanding of computer science principles and algorithms for innovative problem-solving.
• Effective Communication: Strong communication skills to engage effectively with a variety of stakeholders and foster collaboration.
