Purpose

The Engineering Student Life (ESL) office is housed within the Engineering Student Success Center department at the Cockrell School of Engineering. The Administrative UTemp will assist the Engineering Student Life team in processing student organization purchasing and data management/organization. Processes and maintains documents for ESL purchasing, including but not limited to ProCard purchasing and reconciliation, purchase orders, reimbursements, deposits, and potential travel or contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Processes and maintains documents for ESL purchasing, including but not limited to ProCard purchasing and reconciliation, purchase orders, reimbursements, deposits, and potential travel or contracts.

  • Prepares, maintains, and posts records, reports, and budget information. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

High school graduation or GED. Three years of clerical experience, including one year of experience at the Senior Office Assistant level. Experience working with purchasing, budgeting, finance, and file management. Familiarity with UT Administrative Policy (OOEFs, ProCards, Reimbursements, UT Contracts, Travel, etc.). Strong organizational skills, successful with time management, and self-motivated. Able to effectively communicate with students and staff.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with student organizations or UT Academic departments. Advanced knowledge of UT Administrative Policy (OOEF, DEFINE, Reimbursements, UT Contracts, Travel, etc.) Strong sense of autonomy and ability to perform at a high level.

Hourly Rate

$24.00

Working Conditions

  • Attire: Business Casual

  • Standard Office Environment, Repetitive use of keyboard at a workstation

Work Shift

  • Hours per week - 15

  • Working times are flexible with standard office hours of 8 AM to 5 PM
