Summary

 As an employee at CAE USA, you are not just an employee but a member of the family, where co-workers care not just about their work products but our customers, the community and each other.  CAE USA Software Engineers are part of the program team which strives to not only meet but exceed our customers’ expectations.  Software Engineers support computational systems architecture and system software for real-time simulation applications; create new and modified simulation models using established modeling techniques; and work closely with other engineering disciplines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  •  This position is for a software engineer who is self-motivated, has a strong work ethic, and takes ownership and accountability for their work.
  • Must be motivated, teachable, open minded, responsible, organized and a critical thinker
  • Producing plans for execution of software tasks in support of program requirements within budget and schedule constraints
  • Manage assigned software tasks by planning tasking assignments, tracking tasks to closure, and supporting peers as required.
  • Candidate should be a fast learner with very strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Work in a team environment, throughout the lifecycle of the program, using either Waterfall or Agile methodologies

Qualifications and Education Requirements 

  • BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required
  • A minimum of 5 years Software engineering experience
  • Experience supporting the B-2 Training System MGS program.
  • Experience with the following - Advanced OOP, Advanced understanding mutex development for multi-threaded applications, Open Scene Graph, Advanced Qt user, Relational Database Management
  • Ability to apply sound engineering principles and develop innovative solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to design, develop, document, test and debug simulation software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions
  • Excellent communication skills including oral, written, interpersonal, and listening
  • Proven success in a fast-paced development environment and possess a willingness to take ownership, accept accountability, and thrive under pressure
  • Ability to provide and receive constructive criticism
  • Flexibility to support occasional overtime, weekend work, shift work and site travel (CONUS) 
  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance within a five-year investigation period
  • Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
