About the Team

The Post Checkout/Delivery team at DoorDash is responsible for the customer experience after an order is placed. Their mission is to reduce uncertainty by providing real-time, reliable delivery updates and to build a scalable platform that enables product innovation across tracking, substitution, and customer communication.

About the Role

As the designer on the Post Checkout/Delivery team, you’ll shape key customer touchpoints during the live delivery experience. From building replacement item flows to crafting a universal order tracker and designing Live Activities for iOS and Android, you’ll lead initiatives that reduce anxiety, improve transparency, and unify the post-checkout platform. You’ll partner closely with engineering, product, and other teams to create clear, trustworthy, and empowering experiences for millions of users.

This role will report into the Director of Core Consumer Experience, on our Consumer Design team in our Product Design organization. This role is hybrid from one of our Design hubs, 1-2 days a week onsite, the rest working from home.

• Lead the user experience of products end-to-end, including contributing to product strategy, running design sprints, and crafting visions

• Design and ship high-quality product improvements

Compensation

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.  Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

• For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
• For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).
