We are hiring for a People Team Business Partner to join our growing team!

The People Team Business Partner supports senior retail leaders and their teams by partnering with, understanding and achieving desired business outcomes at both tactical and strategic levels. This role provides advice, guidance, and support in implementing Human Resources programs and optimizing organizational effectiveness. A thorough understanding of the client group's strategic priorities, business imperatives, and customer needs is essential. Key responsibilities include planning and delivering talent management, performance management, and associate engagement processes, to promote company values and achieve business results.

Job Description

What Would You Do? The Specifics.

  • Strategic Partnership: Partners with district leaders on strategic plans to drive business results, assess organizational gaps, and provide coaching to foster positive employee relations.
  • Employee Relations & Performance Management: Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues, conduct thorough investigations, and provide day-to-day performance management guidance (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • HR Processes & Initiatives: Drives key People Team processes and initiatives, provide feedback to HR Leaders, and support recruitment initiatives.
  • Succession Planning & Talent Management: Facilitates succession planning with Regional Directors and VPs, identify high-potential talent, and build strategic plans for business growth.
  • Training & Development: Develops, facilitates, and presents training for field leadership, participate in regional meetings, and ensures field receives necessary training and support.
  • Market Trends & Compensation: Maintains awareness of market-driven compensation trends and makes recommendations for workplace improvements aligned with company values.
  • HR Metrics & Analytics: Utilizes HR metrics and analytics to support data-driven decision-making and provide insights to improve performance and retention.
  • Travel & Field Support: Travels to markets with business leaders to understand operational challenges and ensure effective implementation of People Team programs and initiatives.
  • Coaches and consults on development planning for district and store leaders.
  • Partners with district leaders on strategic plans to drive business results, customer service, and alignment with Company Values.
  • Actively participates in regional meetings, retail store visits, and company-sponsored events.
  • Identifies talent gaps, trends, and development needs.

Qualifications

Work Experience

  • 10+ years Experience in a variety of Human Resources roles with increasing responsibilities (Preferred)
  • 2+ years Experience in Human Resources supporting multiple retail locations( Preferred)
  • 6+ years Experience should include a combination of Employee Relations. (Preferred))
  • 6+ years Ability to assess organizational systems and structures, business strategies, and informed about emerging industry trends (Required)
  • 6+ years Excellent track record of success partnering with management, serving as a credible and trusted resource (Required)
  • 6+ years Demonstrated ability to implement short and long-term human resource/change management initiatives (Required)
  • 6+ years Experience in HR role supporting large hourly workforce operating in a geographically matrixed organization (Required)
  • 6+ years Proven ability to analyze and interpret data to produce reports that give insight into organizational performance. (Required)
  • 6+ years Experience with data analysis, report writing and presentation management. (Required)


Education

  • Four year college degree or equivalent experience. (Required)

Licenses, Certifications, Professional Affiliations

  • PHR/SHRM Certification (Preferred)
