GASP Precision Medicine & Lung Cancer Director
The Global Access Strategy and Pricing (GASP) Precision Medicine & Lung Cancer Director supports strategic guidance on access, pricing, reimbursement, launch sequencing, patient value, and evidence generation for the Precision Medicine & Lung Cancer franchise, with a primary focus on the launch of Sigvotatug Vedotin.
The franchise is one of Pfizer's prioritized Oncology franchises, including Braftovi, Mektovi, Lorbrena, Xalkori, Sigvotatug Vedotin, and Fetrastobart Vedotin. Its objective is to advance lung cancer treatment through next-generation backbones and novel combinations from our internal portfolio and external partners.
This role operates with a 'One Pfizer' mindset, working in alignment with the Lung GASP team, market access colleagues (USMA, HV&E), and Country Access & Value colleagues. The position supports the Integrated Value and Access Strategy (IVAS) in partnership with cross-functional teams and reports to the GASP Precision Medicine & Lung Cancer Team Lead.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with the Brand Access Lead to align global access strategy with brand imperatives and coordinate launch priorities across markets.
- Lead generation of payer insights and translate them into integrated value, access, pricing, and evidence generation strategies for key markets.
- Provide subject matter expertise at Senior Leadership forums and deliver clear recommendations on payer strategy, pricing, reimbursement, analogue case studies, evidence generation, and value proposition.
- Represent GASP at cross-functional forums; coordinate and lead projects related to asset threats and opportunities.
- Develop financial models to evaluate lifecycle indications and combinations within the franchise portfolio.
Generate & Synthesize Payer Insights
- Maintain in-depth understanding of payer regulations, including novel-novel combinations, fixed dose combinations, and needs of HTA agencies, institutions, and patients across key Pfizer markets.
- Stay knowledgeable about US oncology access and pricing, IDM and Emerging markets, China, Japan, HTA/payer requirements, and EU JCA.
- Gather and synthesize feedback from HTA agencies, payers, and patient associations to support development programs.
Develop Payer Value Proposition & Drive Market Access Strategy
- Lead discussions with Country Access & Value and US Market Access Leads to integrate local insights into global plans.
- Provide input into clinical development plans, pricing strategies, early HTA advice, economic models, and evidence generation via the IVAS.
- Support alignment with GCS, Clinical Development, Medical, and ICO teams to ensure trial design, RWE plans, and commercial strategies reflect payer insights.
- Support early buy-in discussions with senior leadership on price and market access strategy at key business decision points.
- Support development of the IVAS, value proposition, value-based agreement strategy, and cross-functional stakeholder alignment.
- Shape lifecycle management for the franchise, leveraging access and pricing expertise to optimize long-term value across indications and combinations.
- Develop pricing and market access product/country assessments, run country workshops, and deliver launch training including Value Story, Objection Handler, Launch Readiness assessments, and Mock Negotiations.
- Enable peri- and post-launch projects to demonstrate value to payers, ensuring timely reimbursement and expanded patient access.
- Support EU JCA readiness in close partnership with HV&E across key markets.
- Partner with HV&E to influence clinical trial design (endpoints, comparators, PROs), early economic models, and supplemental evidence generation (e.g., RWE, comparative-effectiveness studies).
Advance Functional Excellence
- Build and maintain relationships with country and global cross-functional teams including HV&E, Medical, GCS, and ICO.
- Work efficiently in a highly matrixed environment and develop expertise in US, IDM, and China launch requirements.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 8 years of experience with Bachelor's; 7 with Master's/MBA; 5 with PharmD/PhD — preferably in pharma or related consulting.
- Experience developing and executing Pricing & Market Access strategies across US and key ex-US markets (Germany, France, UK, Italy, Spain, China, Japan).
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
