Senior Plumbing Journeyman - Working Foreman

This is a full-time, direct placement role at Potter Heating and Cooling.

 

We Are Looking For:

A highly motivated and experienced Senior Working Journeyman Plumbing Foreman to lead our team in the successful completion of large-scale commercial plumbing projects. This role is ideal for a seasoned plumber with a proven track record in overseeing complex plumbing systems, preferably for new construction of apartment complexes.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a crew of plumbers and apprentices on assigned projects.
• Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project plans to ensure a thorough understanding of project scope, budget, and timeline.
• Develop and implement a detailed work plan, breaking down tasks and delegating them effectively to team members based on skillset and workload.
• Conduct pre-installation inspections and ensure compliance with all building codes and safety regulations.
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of complex plumbing systems, including water supply, sanitary waste, vent stacks, and fire protection systems.
• Identify and troubleshoot plumbing problems, implementing effective solutions to maintain project deadlines and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate and detailed project records, including material usage, labor hours, and daily logs.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce safe work practices on the job site.
• Participate in the training and mentorship of junior plumbers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and skill development.
• Effectively communicate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, providing updates on project progress and addressing any concerns.
• Maintain a strong work ethic, leading by example and fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Journeyman Plumber with a proven track record in leading large-scale commercial plumbing projects.
• Extensive experience in new construction of apartment complexes is a strong plus.
• In-depth knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and specifications.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and collaborate effectively with a team.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Proficient in project management techniques and scheduling including but not limited to workforce, material deliveries and efficient coordination with other trades.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
• Excellent physical condition, able to perform physically demanding tasks in various work environments.
• Valid driver's license.

Salary Description $30 - $37/hr
