Description

Summary of Job

This internship provides an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in EHS compliance, sustainability initiatives, and workplace safety programs. The intern will work closely with EHS professionals to support projects, perform inspections, assist with audits, and contribute to a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

 

  • Assist in conducting safety and environmental inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Support the development and maintenance of EHS documentation, including SDSs, safety programs, training records, and compliance reports
  • Participate in safety training sessions
  • Help identify and mitigate workplace hazards and unsafe practices
  • Collect and analyze EHS data (e.g., incident reports)
  • Assist in the implementation of sustainability initiatives and waste reduction programs
  • Contribute to emergency response planning and preparedness activities
  • Research relevant EHS regulations, standards, and best practices
  • Support EHS team in day-to-day operations and special projects
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Education and Qualifications

 

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong interest in environmental compliance, workplace safety, and sustainability
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with EHS software is a plus
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset

 

 

 

Physical Requirements

  • Flexibility to work hours outside normal business hours.
