Job Summary:
Lead and transform the end-to-end manufacturing supply chain organization by building scalable planning, procurement, inventory controls and partner with sourcing teams to optimize operational efficiency, ensure business continuity, and drive cost-effective growth. Responsible for integrating and leading contract manufacturers strategy Globally, developing high-performing teams and implementing integrated systems that align supply chain strategy with business objectives while maintaining quality standards and mitigating risks across internal operations and contract manufacturing partnerships. Develop and lead business continuity plan for Gilchrist & Soames business.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Strategic Supply Chain Leadership
- Architect and direct a comprehensive supply chain planning organization. including master scheduling, short-term production planning, and procurement.
- Drive strategic transformation through development and execution of the supply chain roadmap, integrating best practices in planning, sourcing, materials management and strategic software integrity
- Serve as the supply chain lead for cross-functional coordination with manufacturing, quality, sales, finance, and contract manufacturing partners.
Master and Production Planning
- Design and optimize master production planning processes aligned with sales forecasts and capacity constraints.
- Deploy advanced production scheduling tools to optimize throughput and minimize changeovers.
- Align raw material and component availability with manufacturing execution plans.
Procurement and Sourcing
- Partner with Procurement and Sourcing to build a strategic sourcing function to identify, qualify, and manage suppliers globally.
- Execute strategic supplier negotiations and spearhead cost optimization initiatives while ensuring quality and reliability.
- Implement supplier performance scorecards and risk mitigation plans.
Inventory Management
- Establish robust inventory control and replenishment processes for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
- Implement systematic inventory cycle counting and reconciliation practices.
- Lead root-cause analysis of excess and obsolete inventory (E&O) and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
Contract Manufacturing Planning
- Develop integrated planning processes for contract manufacturers (CMs) including demand signals, supply commitments, and replenishment.
- Standardize communication, tracking, and reporting practices for all CM planning activities.
- Optimize CM production lead times and batch sizes to align with forecast variability.
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team across planning, procurement, and sourcing.
- Foster a culture of accountability, agility, and data-driven decision-making.
- Serve as an executive mentor to directors and managers across the organization. Plays a key role in developing leadership talent within the organization.
Process and System Implementation
- Engineer and deploy scalable SOPs, policies, and digital tools to support end-to-end supply chain processes.
