The Opportunity

Leavitt Machinery is looking for a Field Technician (Heavy Equipment or Automotive) to join our team in Portland, Oregon.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

As the Field Technician your key responsibilities will include:

• Perform work as assigned by the Dispatcher and/or Chargehand
• Diagnose and complete repairs in a timely manner, providing a variety of repair options that best meet customer needs; failure analysis may be required
• Fill out all necessary timecards for each job, documenting customer damage where required
• Identify any potential problems that may result in machine downtime to best maintain the equipment for both our retail and internal customers
• Partner with the Parts department to identify and order parts where required, while adhering to the Parts and Service Agreement

Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:

• Previous aerial platform and lift truck experience considered an asset
• Relevant Trade Certification is an asset
• Strong mechanical ability and problem-solving skills
• A valid driver's license is required
• An excellent work ethic and a positive attitude
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to travel to customer sites within the local region as needed

The base pay range for this role is: $35.00 to $42.00 per hour based on experience.
