Lubrizol is currently seeking a Financial Analyst who will play a critical role in ensuring effective financial oversight of our channel partner contracts and commission program. As part of the Financial Planning & Analysis team, the analyst will also serve as a financial partner to the Channel Partner Account Team, providing insightful financial analysis and contributing to the overall success of our business.

 

What you will do:

  1. Commission Management:
  • Accurately calculate commissions and oversee approvals and payments to channel partners per contractual agreements
  • Manage commission module and journal entries to reflect accurate commission liability
  • Resolve commission-related inquiries and discrepancies
  • Maintain detailed records and reports on commission disbursements and provide audit support as needed

 

  1. Financial Analysis and Partnering:
  • Act as a financial partner to the Channel Partner Account Team
  • Provide financial insights, reporting, and analysis to support Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Collaborate on financial forecasts, budgeting and planning

 

  1. Contract Governance and Compliance:
  • Review, analyze, and manage third-party channel partner contracts
  • Ensure compliance with financial terms, policies, and governance standards
  • Collaborate with legal and business teams to facilitate contract discussions
  • Maintain accurate records of contractual agreements and governance reviews

 

What you need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field
  • 3-5 years of finance or related experience
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of financial analysis
  • Excellent systems skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical capabilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment

 

What will put you ahead:

  • Experience in governance, compliance, or internal controls
  • Experience with SAP
  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related field
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Familiarity with channel partner programs
