Job Duties

Attractively arrange and correctly portion food items on patient meal trays according to printed tickets and cycle menu. Deliver patient meals to appropriate dining areas according to posted schedules. Prepare and package patient nourishments and snacks following posted menu and cycle. Clean and sanitize facility, fixtures, equipment and service ware following established procedures and posted schedules.

Ability to read, comprehend and carry-out written and verbal instructions. Capacity to learn and perform cleaning and sanitation procedures in a safe and efficient manner. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate (10-40 lbs.) loads, bend, stoop and carry objects. Capability to work in a hot, humid environment. Aptitude to work as a contributing team member and customer service focused. Ability to work in a secure and locked environment with individuals who are experiencing acute symptoms of mental illness and/or additional forensic/legal involvement.

Minimum Qualifications

* Sufficient education or training to be able to demonstrate ability to read and understand
written menus, recipes and other instructions.

Additional Considerations

* Prior experience in a commercial or institutional food service facility is desirable but not
required.

These positions are hourly/wage and not eligible for benefits. Hourly (wage) employees may not work more than 29 hours a week and are limited to working 1500 hours in a year.
