About the role

We are currently looking for a Cyber Security Director to join our team. As a member of the Technology Department, you will be responsible for the provision of security and secure architecture design requirements according to industry compliance obligations and security standards.
Also, for the design, implementation, and management of Cybersecurity Solutions in place, the coordination of regular Penetration Tests and Vulnerability Assessments, the review of the findings and development of mitigation and remediation plans. Additionally, the tuning and investigation of incidents and alerts produced by all Cybersecurity Solutions in place. Finally, you will be responsible for the Control of internal and external resources regarding the implementation, administration, and support of Cybersecurity Solutions.

What you will do

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Establish and enforce cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures to ensure the protection of the organization's information assets and infrastructure.
  • Identify, assess, and manage cybersecurity risks and vulnerabilities, and implement effective controls and mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and lead an incident response plan to handle cybersecurity incidents and breaches, including containment, investigation, remediation, and communication.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization's cybersecurity systems and technologies, ensuring their effectiveness, monitoring for threats, and maintaining incident detection and response capabilities.
  • Ensure the organization's compliance with relevant cybersecurity laws, regulations, and industry standards, such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, or ISO 27001.
  • Promote cybersecurity awareness across the organization, conduct training programs, and educate employees on best practices to reduce security risks.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors, manage relationships, and ensure that contracted services meet cybersecurity requirements.
  • Manage and lead a team of cybersecurity professionals, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, or a related field is typically required. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly valued.
  • Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in cybersecurity, with progressive responsibilities and leadership roles, including experience in strategic planning, risk management, incident response, and team management.
  • In-depth understanding of cybersecurity technologies, tools, and frameworks, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM, vulnerability scanning, and encryption.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific cybersecurity requirements and regulations, as well as emerging threats and trends in cybersecurity.
  • Strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, executives, and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities to identify risks, assess vulnerabilities, and develop effective cybersecurity strategies and solutions.
  • A passion for staying updated with the latest advancements in cybersecurity, attending conferences, and participating in professional development activities.
  • Excellent knowledge of Greek and English language.
