Job Location: AmeriCare Home Health Care - Naples , FL 34105Salary Range: $53.00 - $53.00 Hourly*This position is paid per visit.
Job Summary:
The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) will deliver physical therapy treatments to patients in accordance with the Plan of Care, under the direct supervision of a license Physical Therapist. This position plays a vital role in helping patients regain mobility and function within the comfort of their own homes.
Job Duties
- Administer physical therapy treatments as prescribed in the patient’s Plan of Care developed by the Physician and Physical Therapist.
- Monitor and document the patient’s response to therapy and the overall effectiveness of services.
- Continuously assess the home environment for safety hazards; recommend modifications to enhance patient safety.
- Educate patients and family member on exercise programs, use of assistive devices, and home safety practices.
- Identify the need for additional services or disciplines, communicate with the supervising PT, and refer as appropriate.
- Evaluate social, emotional, and physical factors affecting the patient’s condition and report findings to the supervising PT.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings; contribute to care plan updates and problem-solving discussions.
- Immediately report adverse changes in the patient’s condition to the supervising PT and/or RN Case Manager.
- Complete all assigned visits and documentation in a timely and professional manner.
- Attend mandatory in-services and continuing education to maintain current clinical skills.
- Uphold patient privacy and security in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support quality patient care and agency operations.

Qualifications
Education/Experience: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program. One year of clinical experience in a home health care setting preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
License Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of Florida
Valid CPR Certification
Valid Florida Driver’s License
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
