This is an on campus position located in St. Cloud, MN.
The purpose of this position is to support the mission and vision of the University and College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences in providing quality educator preparation programs that develop highly qualified education, health, and human sciences professionals at the State, national and international level. This person will perform program audit and continuous improvement functions by building quality assurance models and systems that provide information necessary for decision making and long-range planning to Deans, program directors, departments, and other high-level professional staff. This position will additionally support program enhancement and capacity building through research on best practices and program/policy development and will also support program faculty in research endeavors. This position is instrumental in helping shape state and national educational, health and social services policy through active participation in state and national accreditation and licensure boards and associations.
1. Provides leadership, research, and strategies to fulfill CEHSS assessment, evaluation and accreditation needs. This includes coordinating and monitoring use of evaluation and assessment instruments, completion and submission of annual reports, involvement of key stakeholders, and development of relevant policies and procedures. The position utilizes statistical models, mathematics and analytical procedures to provide information to management which is used in the formulation of unit-wide policy and provides advice and interpretation of technical data related to education, health, and human sciences professional preparation programs and continuous improvement thereof.
2. Conducts data analysis for program evaluation and improvement, develops and disseminates reports as needed at unit and program level for diverse audiences, (faculty, administrators, and external partners). This includes facilitation of unit and program level data retreats for continual improvement and presentation/interpretation of data for regional and national presentation at the request of the Dean.
3. Implements and maintains a student-level data management system that works in concert with established university systems. Provides access and training to faculty and staff across campus (unit wide) to enable others to locate, retrieve and manipulate large amounts of reliable data quickly and efficiently.
4. Via data collection, organization, and dissemination supports faculty in CEHSS in developing research projects and/or grant attainment related to best practices in or continuous improvement in education professional preparation. Identifies important trends and developments regarding education professional preparation using both internal resources and external resources - including professional journals and newsletters, outside reports, and other academic findings.
5. Represents the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences at local, regional and national conferences and meetings. 6. Performs other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth functioning of CEHSS and maintains the reputation of the organization as a viable business partner.
Minimum Qualifications
3 years’ experience in Education, Health, or Social Services in assessment and evaluation.
Demonstrated experience with state and/or national accreditation
Demonstrated ability to initiate and manage projects, develop work plans, and assign priorities and time limits and effectively present data/research reports to stakeholders
Strong knowledge of statistical methods, statistical analysis, and computer programs and software packages to provide model structures for the development of unit reports
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Group facilitation skills and experience
