We are seeking an Onsite Quality Management System (QMS) Compliance Auditor to work in our Woburn, MA location. The Quality Management System (QMS) Compliance Auditor will be responsible for performing program, process, manufacturing area, and engineering lab audits to assure compliance to the Raytheon QMS, as well as Raytheon policies and procedures across all Raytheon facilities. The auditing process includes the planning, preparing, conducting, reporting, and following-up of corrective actions. Audits are conducted per the Raytheon comprehensive audit schedule and procedures.


What You Will Do

  • This position will require an understanding of organizational quality management systems and the use of quality resources and processes to ensure effective process measurement, control, reporting, root cause and corrective action (RCCA), and continuous improvement. Auditors must also be able to mentor other functions and disciplines on compliance related issues.
  • The position requires interface with Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), Missile Defense Agency (MDA), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and other customers, as well as Raytheon leaders on appropriate program and compliance status/issues.
  • The position will be responsible for coordinating activities with Raytheon Compliance Site Leads and Raytheon Site Leads for communicating and interfacing at all levels of the organization to positively impact change and direction.
  • Schedule and conduct audits and assessments by interviewing, investigation and examination of objective evidence, standards, procedures, work instructions, drawings, specifications, regulations, etc.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, including Customers, to plan and conduct internal audits.
  • Assist in coordinating external audit activities related to the QMS including Enterprise, NQA and customer audits.
  • Ensure planned audits are conducted on time and any issues are identified and addressed.
  • Report audit results, Corrective Action Request (CAR) trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively to Compliance Site Lead/Manager, program, and other audit stakeholders on audit related activities.
  • Help maintain an audit ready culture at all sites.

Qualification You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years’ experience. 
  • AATT Certified Quality Auditor, AS9100 Lead Auditor Certification, American Society for Quality (ASQ), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or equivalent certification.
  • Working experience with ISO 9001/AS9100 Quality requirements, commercial, aerospace, FAA and defense regulations and standards, and working experience of Missile Defense Agency’s Mission Assurance Provisions.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Have a broad knowledge and understanding of the domain and processes that may be assessed during audits.
  • Familiarity with the Raytheon Corrective Action System (RCAS) resources.
  • Knowledge of quality resources and processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with process owners to cultivate compliance and process improvements.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of stakeholders.
  • Ability to create effective relationships through partnering and collaboration both internally and externally.
  • Computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, or Access).
