General Education Teacher - Alternative Program (Elementary)
 

Job Description:  The individual will provide academic instruction and structured behavioral support to students enrolled in an alternative program. The teacher ensures continuity of learning while maintaining a highly structured, supportive, and supervised environment. The role focuses on academic progress, accountability, restorative reflection, and preparation for successful reintegration into the school community.  Strong behavior management and leadership skills, and the ability to provide instruction to meet students' needs are required.  The individual must be able to differentiate the curriculum and supervise and lead support staff.  Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Schools (TCIS) training is preferred.  The individual must have or be eligible for appropriate teaching certification upon hire.  Regular attendance and dependability are required.  Other responsibilities may be assigned.  Assignment is subject to change.


Requirement: NYS General Education Certification  (Grades K-6)

Anticipated Salary: $54,000-$92,000 commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits package available.
