About Wink Station

 

Wink Station is a new asset for ExxonMobil purchased in 2017. It is a growing DOT regulated facility located in the heart of the Permian/ Delaware Basin where it is a major crude oil transportation and storage facility for the corporation with approximately 26 employees that report to the site.

 

What role you will play in our team

 

This position is for a Damage Prevention Technician at Wink Station which is a large crude oil gathering, storage, and shipping facility located 3 miles east of Wink, Texas and approximately 58 miles west of Midland/Odessa, Texas. 
As a Damage Prevention Technician at Wink Station, you will be a vital team member responsible for line locating, marking pipelines, responding to 811 tickets, and monitoring third party excavations that are near our assets for multiple pipeline systems that support West Texas Operations spanning from Loving, New Mexico to Sterling City, Texas. 
 

What you will do

 

• Locate and mark Exxon Mobil Pipeline Co. assets in accordance with our damage prevention manual and state law.
• Screen and respond to 811 tickets. 
• Monitor all third party excavations and or encroachments that are near our assets. 
• Assist with construction and excavation activities involving EMPCo assets. 

About you

 

Skills and Qualifications

• Valid drivers license
• High School Graduate or Equivalent

 

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

 

• Strong knowledge of interpreting drawings, alignment sheets, and construction as built.
• Strong organizational skills for managing documentation and storage.
• Basic knowledge of DOT and State law regulations of underground facilities and pipelines. 
• Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft suite tools
• Self motivated and team player
• Ability to work efficiently on their own and in remote locations
