  • This is a Flex Position Flex position for 9-11 months per year; you can use your off months to travel or visit friends and family!

Job Responsibilities:

Develops Operational Plan Daily By:

  • Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training and coaching drivers

  • Scheduling, supervising, and disciplining department staff

  • Hold daily meetings with drivers to ensure the drivers are up to date on all resort information

  • Adjust and adapt to changing conditions of the resort and re-route vehicles as needed.

  • Using the radios provided for each shuttle according to set guidelines and proper radio etiquette

  • Ensure all drivers are adhering to the established routes.

  • Continually Maximizes Production

  • Communicating with Transportation Manager daily with any changes to scheduling, additional request, weather holds, route changes or any other operations that affect the shuttle service.

  • Ensure that all bus stops, break room and other Transportation Department facilities are maintained and serviced.

  • Maintain bus lot and wash bay equipment and supplies

Maintains Proper Documentation By:

  • Adhering to all DOT rules and regulations according to the FMCSA

  • Monitoring changes in DOT rulings

  • Maintaining DOT files according to the FMCSA including physicals and Driver Qualification files for Transportation and other departments with CDL drivers

  • Participate in and perform random drug and alcohol testing program as well as return to duty, reasonable suspicion and “post-accident” drug and alcohol testing.

  • Provide mandatory DOT training in Hours of Service, whistleblower protection, driver fatigue, drug and alcohol

  • File Completed pre-trip inspections, logging all defects

  • Complete all vehicle maintenance reports required monthly pertaining to shuttle service.

  • Review daily driver inspection reports for accuracy and awareness of maintenance issues and coordinate maintenance issues to be resolved

  • Keeping track of mileage for DOT reporting and for scheduling preventive maintenance

Ensures Safety and Consistency through Training By:

  • Provide 80 hours of Classroom training and 50 hours of skills training for new CDL students.

  • Being knowledgeable about the resort, providing informational literature on the bus, and dispensing information as requested

  • Assembling and maintaining Driver clipboards with the latest information for the guest.

  • Ensure training for workday, department and safty is done on time

  • Training of proper use of radios

Supervises and Assists:

  • Driving the shuttles vehicles provided by the resort

  • Maintain inventory of supplies for operation

  • Ensure the completion and documentation of repairs and maintenance of shuttle department resources

  • Supervise the completion of Performing pre-trip inspections, logging all defects, arranging for repairs

  • Ensuring the cleanliness of the buses and maintaining all safety equipment on the bus

  • Maintain department social media page to inform employees of schedule and route assignments
