Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Food Service Worker II for our Nutrition Services department who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.
As a Food Service Worker II you will:
• Prepare food items for the cafeteria for general and therapeutic diets. Works collaboratively with peers, visitors, patients, management team, and other hospital staff.
• Perform job duties 100% every day, every shift for optimal productivity.
• Perform sanitation duties as assigned in dish room.
• Assemble prepared foods on trays with accuracy.
• Ensure food products are produced in a timely manner under appropriate food safety guidelines.
• As needed, prepare food on time by following standardized recipes 100% of the time at the correct temperature and accurately document time and temperature.
• Maintain sanitation for area utilization.
• Responsible for HAACP and food safety.
• Communicate proactively to direct supervisor to ensure superior outcomes are met on a daily basis.
• Attend in-service training to obtain knowledge of menus/food and physical safety.
• Attends departmental meetings, department training and completes mandatory Learning & Performance Suite training.
• Respects cultural, ethnic, and religious food preferences.
• Be a good steward of AHC’s resources by not wasting time or materials.
• Respects customers, peers and supervisory staff
Qualifications Include:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Food Handlers Certification helpful
• 1-2 years of hospital food service experience helpful
• Strong customer service skills
• Able to handle a multitask environment
• Must be able to read and speak in English
Work Schedule:
• Employment Type: Full-time
• Hours per Week: 40 hrs/week
• Typical Daily Schedule: 5 Days a week Must be available to work
5:30am-2pm, 6am-2:30pm, 7am-3pm, 7:30am-3:30pm, 11am-7:30pm, 12pm-8:30pm
• Shift Type: Rotating Shift
• Weekend Requirements: Rotating weekends
• Holiday Requirements: Required Follow company holiday calendar
• Shift Differential Eligible: Yes
Pay Range:
$18.40 - $23.48If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
