The Senior Treasury Manager will serve in a lead role on the team responsible for global treasury operations, investment portfolio management, foreign currency management, working capital management, insurance, and potential debt-related activities. This role requires strategic leadership in managing Cognex’s capital structure, cash forecasting, and investments. Reporting directly to the Head of Investor Relations and Treasury, the Senior Treasury Manager will frequently interact with Accounting, Tax, FP&A, Legal, and external banking partners. Additionally, this role will work closely with suppliers and financial institutions to ensure efficient cash flow management, reduce working capital requirements, and support the organization’s overall financial health. Strong project management skills and a deep understanding of capital markets are crucial to driving strategic initiatives and optimizing financing solutions.

Essential Functions

• Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with FP&A to maintain long-term cash forecasts, ensuring accurate determination of liquidity needs.

• Reporting Excellence: Oversee comprehensive month/quarter/year-end reporting, including the preparation of Board of Director and Management presentation materials, and execution of related analytics.

• Investment Oversight: Partner with investment advisors to monitor and manage daily activities related to the investment of excess cash, ensuring strict policy compliance and optimal effectiveness.

• Project Leadership: Spearhead and manage high-impact projects related to global expansion, M&A activities, supply chain financing, treasury initiatives, and other special projects as required.

• Financing Strategy: Utilize advanced business and technical acumen to evaluate, develop, and implement innovative financing strategies that optimize cash flow and working capital.

• Corporate Funding Evolution: Drive the development and execution of the corporate funding strategy, including the establishment of debt facilities such as supply chain financing, revolving credit facilities, or other financing alternatives.

• Senior Management Reporting: Prepare and deliver insightful reports and presentations on financing activities for senior management.

• Process Improvement: Conduct thorough research and recommend strategic improvements to the company’s systems and processes.

• Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with suppliers and financial institutions to support financial operations.

• Supply Chain Financing: Collaborate with Procurement and Accounts Payable to implement and sustain effective supply chain financing solutions.

• Corporate Credit Card Program: Lead the development and implementation of policies for the corporate credit card program.

• Insurance Management: Oversee the corporate insurance program by managing relationships with third-party insurance brokers, evaluating and renewing insurance coverage, and maintaining various insurance programs.

• Audit Engagement: Engage proactively with internal and external auditors to ensure comprehensive documentation of procedures, SOX compliance, and timely response to audit requests; recommend and implement solutions as needed through independent and cross-functional collaboration.
