Compensation includes a base salary of $106,700.00 - $177,900.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.Job Description
The Sourcing Senior Manager - IT is a position within the Enterprise Sourcing & Procurement group responsible for integrating and leading sourcing/procurement activities related to IT software and hardware and delivering year over year savings in alignment with Cox overall business objectives. The Sourcing Senior Manager IT scope includes application software, system software, and development software delivered as licenses, open-source, hybrid, Software as a Service/SaaS, and Cloud based models as well as a variety of hardware services. Scope also includes the associated warranties, maintenance, and subscriptions. Key accountabilities include: (1) Strategic sourcing/procurement of IT software and hardware and software maintenance, (2) Negotiate all elements of assigned IT agreements, and (3) Supplier relationship management & scorecard compliance.
Responsibilities:
1. Enterprise Sourcing & Procurement of IT Software and Hardware
- Support the development and execution of a strategic sourcing plan for the Category to assure productivity targets are met.
- Support the planning, implementation, and optimization of the flow of IT software and hardware from the point of origin to the point of consumption to achieve internal customers’ requirements.
-Manage the competitive bid sourcing process considering price, terms, delivery, compatibility, total cost of products, and the supplier’s ability to meet their requirements.
-Partner with functional business groups to define savings opportunities.
-Review current IT software and hardware suppliers and actively seek new suppliers.
-Coordinate with IT software and hardware suppliers to facilitate expediting orders to insure timely deliveries of the correct products & services.
-Serve as an agent to guide Cox’s supplier diversity efforts by providing data monitoring, evaluation, status reports, and program communication.
-Integrate with Technology Vendor Management and Technology Finance teams to ensure alignment with each affiliate’s strategic plans in IT software and hardware.
2. Negotiate all elements of assigned IT software and hardware supplier agreements to ensure lowest total cost of ownership, favorable commercial terms, and performance metrics.
-Partner with business owners to establish a current state baseline and negotiation strategy.
-Effectively leverage all resources (time, information, company position, communication skills, etc.) to achieve desired results.
-Review, analyze, and evaluate complex master supplier agreement proposals and identifies key business issues.
-Actively participate in the direct negotiation of key supplier agreements.
-Partner with Cox legal to drive final contract terms and signature.
-Manage contractual data collection, monitoring, and renewals.
3. Supplier Relationship Management & Scorecard Compliance
-Proactively manage ongoing business relationships.
-Execute supplier and cost management system/metrics for assigned suppliers and demonstrate continuous improvement.
-Resolve commercial issues associated with supplier performance issues.
Qualifications:
Minimum
-Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline ((i.e. Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Operations or a related discipline) and 8 years’ experience in a related including a minimum of 2 years in strategic sourcing is required. 3+ years of experience required if candidate possesses a related advanced degree. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 6years’ experience; a Ph.D. and 3 years’ experience in a related field; or 12 years’ experience in a related field.
- Experience successfully supporting a large-scale Program Management / Process Improvement / Integration initiatives resulting in organizational change.
- Solid analytic capabilities required.
