Our biosecurity and public health initiative, Concentric by Ginkgo, launched a nationwide emergency response to the COVID-19 pandemic, providing end-to-end pathogen monitoring services to schools, communities, and travelers. As we continue to scale Concentric, our work is also evolving into new and exciting directions, from global expansion to the integration of new technologies and capabilities, including our Traveler-Based Genomic Surveillance Plan with the CDC

Responsibilities

  • Manage domestic and international vendor relations for material inventory, order management, and transportation logistics 
  • Assist with or lead contracting with new and existing vendors
  • Understand and work within domestic and international regulations; Coordinate import/export custom regulations around transporting supplies and clinical samples
  • Implement and support the integration of new processes and systems to implement new and scale domestic and international operational processes
  • Understand and track program metrics, including managing costs
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support Concentric program needs in logistics and operations, or beyond as required
  • Diagnose issues and implement process improvements to prevent future occurrence using data-driven decision making
  • Tackle the most urgent and immediate problems facing Concentric as a whole
  • Continually shape the customer experience, as part of a cross functional team
  • International travel may be required, as needed

Minimum Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree and 5+ years work experience in consulting, operations, or private equity
  • 2+ year managing projects, people, and/or external partnerships/relationships

Preferred Capabilities and Experience

  • 1+ year experience supporting international projects and engagements
  • Proven track record of project ownership and results orientation in a team setting
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities
  • Excellent communication skills, emotional intelligence and an ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong data and analytical skills (such as Excel analysis and modeling and Tableau) and ability to develop fact-based and informed opinions
  • Familiarity with financial analysis and cost management
  • Willingness to travel internationally including to countries in Africa, Middle East, Asia, South America
  • Experience working with international vendors/businesses in a global organization
