Purpose Statement
The Combustion systems specialist will report directly to the Maintenance manager. The Combustion Systems Specialist position will drive variation reduction and continuous improvement within the thermal process. This position will maintain safety of all combustion systems using NFPA 86 standards. This position will be directly responsible of all equipment that uses natural gas, PM upkeep, as well as driving preventative measures to typical breakdowns within the thermal assets.
Key Accountabilities and Outcomes
· Coordinates combustion system efforts with the maintenance and production team and supports breakdowns within the thermal process to those teams as needed.
· Coordinate with the maintenance planner to improve and update PMs for Thermal equipment.
· Maintain systems and ensure all systems are up to date with NFPA 86 safety standards.
· Maintain Proper Air/Gas ratios and ensure all baselines with heat work are standardized.
· Work to ensure all equipment is up to date with driving capital projects.
· Ability to perform/ coach associates on the use of TPM tools such BDRs, 5 WHYs, 6W2Hs to drive positive PowerBI metrics.
· Acknowledge reoccurring thermal equipment malfunctions and aid team in driving corrective actions to correct root causes.
· Complete PMs in a timely manner
· Assist in training associates on respective shifts.
· Work with all major department leads and associates pertaining to but not limited to safety, sanitation, production, and logistics.
· Performs other related responsibilities, as needed, to support Rich Products Corporation’s business objectives.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
· HS degree or GED; Industrial Maintenance degree or degree in related field required.
· Proven expertise with 2 years’ experience working directly with combustion systems.
· Direct knowledge of NFPA 86 Required, NFPA 86 certification preferred.
· Demonstrated knowledge and application of preventative maintenance techniques and safety management of combustion systems.
· Proven Track record of improving combustion systems.
· Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), sanitation processes/procedures, and HACCP
· Demonstrated ability to direct, coach, and train associates.
· Demonstrated ability to make decisive and timely decisions.
