SUMMARY

Join our dynamic aluminum can manufacturing team! We are a leading producer in the metal packaging industry, committed to delivering high-quality products through innovation and excellence. We are currently seeking a skilled Can Making Operator to help us maintain our high standards and production efficiency. As a Can Making Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machinery involved in the production of aluminum cans. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that our products meet safety, quality, and production standards.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Machine Operation: Operate and monitor equipment such as can forming machines, presses, trimmers, liners, and other machinery involved in the can making process.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished cans for defects, ensure proper dimensions, and perform quality checks to maintain product quality standards.
• Material Handling: Handle aluminum sheets, coils, and other raw materials required for can production. Load materials onto machines and monitor material supply throughout the production process.
• Machine Setup and Adjustment: Set up machines according to production requirements, adjust settings as needed, and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, use personal protective equipment (PPE), and follow safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
• Production Efficiency: Optimize machine performance, minimize waste, and maximize production output while maintaining quality and efficiency standards.
• Maintenance Assistance: Assist maintenance technicians in performing routine maintenance tasks, cleaning equipment, and conducting minor repairs as needed.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain production records, log equipment downtime, report quality issues, and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.

Shift:

Rotating 2-2-3 shift and overtime as needed

Day shifts are from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm

Night shifts are from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am

Requirements

Skills/ Knowledge: 

• Experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment, preferably in metal packaging or the can making industry.
• Be familiar with operating forming machines, presses, trimmers, and/or related equipment. 
• Ability to read and interpret production orders, work instructions, and quality specifications is crucial. 
• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment are required. 
• Basic math skills and an understanding of measurements and units are necessary.

Education: 

• High school diploma or equivalent, with technical training or certification in machine operation a plus.
