We are looking for you to join our team as a Sr Principal Cyber Systems Engineer based out of San Diego, CA. As a Sr Principal Cyber Systems Engineer at Northrop Grumman you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. What You'll Get to Do

As a Sr Principal Cyber Systems Engineer on this team, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Perform as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) ensuring that the appropriate operational security posture is maintained for an information system or program.

  • Serve as the point of contact for reporting any security or privacy incidents, facilitating prompt and accurate communication with the appropriate authorities.

  • Establish strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and compliance of security configuration guidelines (Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), security requirement guides, etc.)

  • Supports obtaining certification and accreditation of systems by directly compiling body of evidence authorization packages.

  • Responsible for developing and executing test procedures to verify security controls

  • Train, mentor and guide Cybersecurity engineers in successful completion of applicable certifications IAW AFMAN 17-1303

  • Conduct cybersecurity assessment activities and review cybersecurity assessment methods, plans, procedures, and reports

  • Provide Cyber implementation guidance and oversight across technical teams

  • Develop and document technical standard engineering processes and procedures as needed

  • Provide input to program milestones and metrics, adhering to cybersecurity-relevant plans and schedules

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications for a Sr Principal Cyber Systems Engineer

  • Bachelors degree in science, engineering, or related discipline with 7 years of experience; OR 5 years of relevant experience with a Masters degree; OR 3 years of experience with STEM PhD degree

    • An additional 4 years of relevant experience can be cons
