About the role

The responsibilities of the job include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Closing the books monthly while reviewing and preparing journal entries;
  • Reviewing and preparing account reconciliations;
  • Assisting in the year-end audit;
  • Assisting in Accounts Payable and Payroll functions;
  • Preparing, reviewing, and recording contractuals and write-offs;
  • Assisting in the other Accounting department duties when requested by the Assistant Coordinator and Controller;
  • Creating numerous internal and external financial reports.

Minimum educational and professional requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Bachelor's degree required with course studies in principles of Accounting and intermediate Accounting;
  • Master's Degree in Accounting preferred;
  • Two to three years of experience required;
  • CPA candidate preferred;
  • Candidate must have strong computer skills, preferably in Microsoft Excel, Abra, Crystal Reports and Exact Software Macola.
