Armstrong World Industries (AWI) is offering an exciting job opportunity for a Principal Engineer located in Lancaster, PA or Pensacola, FL, Macon GA, or Hilliard, OH. As a Principal Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in leading and executing projects related to manufacturing equipment and processes. What does a Principal Electrical Engineer do?
- You’ll be at the helm of major capital projects, ensuring they adhere to agreed-upon cost, schedule, and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with vendors to specify equipment and design assets for new production lines within existing facilities or new ones
- Scope and recommend projects aimed at cost reduction and sustainability
- Investigate process and equipment issues, providing recommendation for corrective measures.
- Apply sound engineering principles to all aspects of your work.
- Actively participated in multifunctional project teams, overseeing capital projects from concept to asset installation and start-up,
- Engage in Lean events to drive rapid process improvements.
- Mentor and develop engineers and maintenance personnel, sharing technical and engineering best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- Possess 7 – 10 years of experience in technical engineering or leading capital projects.
- PLC and HMI programming experience with Rockwell suite of products
