In the North American Care Chemicals Division, we develop, produce, and market a comprehensive range of products for personal care, home care, and industrial and institutional cleaning, as well as various technical applications. Our range of products fulfills the highest standards regarding safety and sustainability. As a result of focused research and development, we are a preferred partner of our customers worldwide.
As Product Manager, White Stone Alkoxylation you will be part of the Alkoxylation Product Management team and have specific asset management responsibility for the White Stone, SC site.  The Product Manager will play a key role in developing and executing key strategic initiatives. Additionally, this position will manage a variety of oleochemicals, including fatty alcohols and nonionic surfactants.  These products are produced both in North American assets and imported from BASF’s global production network.

As a Product Manager, You Create Chemistry By...

 

• Being responsible for driving sustainable, profitable growth of the portfolio through effective margin management and volume growth of the assigned product groups including pricing, pricing process, cost management, customer bids, business forecasting, etc. 
• Monitoring the market trends and drivers with an understanding of key raw material movements and developments. You will also capture market, competitive, and pricing intelligence through external and internal sources.
• Driving the margin-oriented view on asset effectiveness (e.g., with key interfaces production, supply chain planning) and profitable organic growth, you will position assets to meet forecasted volumes and new product pipelines. 
• Playing a key role in setting and executing the overall alkoxylation asset strategy for North America (technology, scale, cost position, etc.).

If you...

 

• Have a degree in a technical (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, etc.) or business (Marketing, Finance, etc.)  or related field and professional experience in marketing, supply chain, operations, product management, asset management, and/or business management. 
• Collaborate and communicate well while working with complex, interdisciplinary, cross-functional, and global teams.
• Possess strong strategic acumen and project execution skills.
