JOB DESCRIPTION
This role is critical in supporting fraud prevention processes and strategies across our online gaming platforms. This position is responsible for driving process improvements and helping to ensure a balance between effective fraud prevention and a seamless customer experience. The ideal candidate will apply data-driven insights and industry best practices to prevent/recoup losses and reduce fraud risks while enabling legitimate customer activity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and the execution of fraud prevention tactics aligned with company goals and industry regulations.
- Evolve chargeback and dispute resolution workflows to limit losses and maintain strong relationships with vendor partners.
- Oversee identification and analysis of fraudulent activities including bonus abuse, account takeovers, payment fraud, collusion, and money laundering. Recommend forward thinking strategies.
- Work with the product, engineering, data teams and external vendors to manage and optimize risk detection tools and rule engines. Provide input on the adoption of AI and automation where appropriate.
- Utilize analytics and KPIs to measure fraud performance, adjust controls, and reduce false positives. Prepare and share actionable insights with leadership.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Compliance, Customer Support, Product, and Legal teams to implement fraud initiatives that support business objectives as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 5–7 years of experience in fraud prevention, risk operations, or financial crimes; e-commerce background preferred.
- Leadership: 1–3 years of experience in a people management or team lead role within a fraud or risk function.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with fraud platforms (e.g., Accertify, Sift, ThreatMetrix), rule-based logic, and emerging fraud technologies.
- Analytical Skills: Strong data analysis and decision-making skills; familiarity with SQL, Excel, or visualization tools preferred.
- Regulatory Awareness: Understanding of AML, KYC, and responsible gaming compliance standards.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate findings and recommendations clearly to cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the iGaming, sportsbook, or online casino environment.
- Experience with various chargeback systems and tools.
- Certifications such as CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) or CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) are a plus.

The salary range for this position is $124,351.00 - $160,000.00 USD, which is dependent on a several factors including relevant experience, geography, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k)-matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses. This role includes paid Personal Time Off and paid company holidays.
