Job  Title:   Production  Operator     

Salary Class: Hourly

Department: Manufacturing

Prerequisite Skills Required: Basic mechanical abilities, ability to understand and complete work instructions.

Nexans AmerCable Training Requirements: 

1. Orientation
2. ISO 9000
3. On the job training

Primary Responsibilities: To operate assembly equipment as assigned using operations and quality standards set forth by the work instructions/router.  To monitor and improve product quality.    To assist in operating the machine according to machine work instructions/SOPs.  Produce product “on time” per current work schedule.  Comply with all safety rules at all times.  Comply with AmerCable Employee Manual at all times.  To run multiple machines within the team area.  MAINTAIN ACCEPTABLE HOUSEKEEPING AT ALL TIMES.

Secondary Responsibilities: Complete other assignments the Team Leader or Working Team Leader may assign.
