Job Description

The Senior Manager of Model Development (Advanced Analytics) occupies a pivotal role at the forefront of analytics innovation, reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Advanced Analytics. This lead analytics position is responsible for steering a diverse portfolio of advanced analytics projects that support teams across UFEG, including but not limited to marketing effectiveness, market capacity sizing, demand measurement, and lifecycle simulations. The role demands an individual who can not only develop sophisticated predictive and prescriptive analytics models but also support adoption across the business, guiding these models from conceptual frameworks to working prototypes and through to full-scale production. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Model Development: Lead the development of advanced predictive and prescriptive analytics models, employing cutting-edge techniques and tools such as Python, Google Big Query, and Vertex AI to address complex business questions. 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various business units to understand their analytical needs, ensuring the models developed are aligned with strategic objectives and can effectively inform decision-making.  

  • Prototype to Production: Guide models from initial development to working prototypes, facilitating their integration into business processes and overseeing their transition into production, ensuring scalability, reliability, and impact. 

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between the Advanced Analytics team and other stakeholders, effectively communicating complex analytical concepts and findings to non-technical audiences to support business adoption.  

  • Leadership and Strategy: Provide strategic direction and leadership within the Advanced Analytics team, fostering innovation and promoting a culture of continuous improvement, analytical excellence, and inclusivity. 

Qualifications

  •  7+ years' experience in advanced analytics, developing a portfolio of successful analytics projects that have driven business growth.  
  • Demonstrated expertise in using Python, Google Big Query, and Vertex AI for complex analytical model development. 

  • Proven ability in leveraging analytics to solve strategic business challenges, with a track record of developing and implementing successful models. 

  • Occasional travel required. 

Desired Qualification/Characteristics: 

  • A degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, is preferred.  

  • Experience in the movie industry preferred, with an understanding of its unique challenges and opportunities. 

  • Proven leadership qualities with experience managing cross-functional projects and teams, driving them towards achieving organizational goals.  

  • Outstanding communication skills, capable of articulating technical details to a diverse audience, including senior management and non-technical stakeholders.
