About the role

As an Allegiant Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Maintenance Manager, your primary focus is ensuring well-maintained ground support vehicles as well as the organization and tracking of the serviceability support fleet and expenses within the Company. The GSE Maintenance Manager holds responsibility for and will maintain an exceptional level of quality of all ground support equipment in the Company.

Minimum RequirementsCombination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.Education:  High School Diploma/GEDEducation Details:  High School Diploma/GED or equivalent Diploma. Equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
Years of Experience:  •Minimum one (1) year of supervisory/ management experience.•Minimum three (3) years of diesel mechanic/ ground service equipment related experience.Credit Check:  No

•Ability and willingness to work varying hours/shifts, including weekends and holidays, depending on operational needs.•Ability to respond to and resolve common inquiries or complaints.•Ability to effectively present information.•Ability to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy items of 70 pounds or more; bending, standing, climbing, or walking.•Ability to work safely in an environment containing chemicals, cleaning materials, dust, and noise.•Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).•Ability and willingness to routinely work under inclement weather conditions.•Possess/maintain a valid state driver’s license and other FAA/Airport required identification/seals or authorizations.•Must comply with all company guidelines and policies.•Ability and willingness to attend the mandatory and successfully complete training imposed by the Company and Airlines as per job role.
Preferred Requirements•Experience in aviation and/or ground support equipment.•Database system knowledge and computer skills necessary.•ASE Master Technician or demonstrated equivalent technical experience
Job Duties•Direct a preventative maintenance program to minimize cost and maximize use of equipment.•Ensure all Ground Equipment is maintained according to company policy.•Maintain detailed record keeping of all vehicles / equipment and tracking of expenses.•Direct a quality control program to maintain satisfactory levels of work performance.•Responsible for working with local contract maintenance when needed to ensure quality andEfficiency.•Work directly with site-specific government officials on matters related to daily operations of contract.•Plan, organize, and direct the work and duties in order to meet objectives with the most efficient use of personnel, facilities, and equipment.•Will ensure outstation contractors are providing fair pricing, quality maintenance, and compliance with Allegiant Airlines’ Ground Support Equipment Manual•Ensure the safe and secure operations, in accordance with the highest possible standards of health, safety, security and all government statutory requirements.•Attend and successfully complete mandatory training imposed by the Company and Airlines as per job role.•Ensure any direct reports understand and apply our Customer Commitment and customer service standards to their daily responsibilities as appropriate.•Model Allegiant’s customer service standards in personal actions and when providing leadership direction.•Other duties as assigned.

May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to extreme noise (i.e. airport with planes, vehicles, and other machinery), temperature, wind, and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Ability to wear personal protective gear. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
