THE JOB
We are seeking a Sr. Accountant for the Live Nation Concerts division, a segment of the Live Nation live music business. This position will focus on the our concert promotions business in the Southwest. It is a blend of transactional and intermediate to advanced level Accounting. This person must be a self-motivated individual with the ability to multitask and collaborate with other departments.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
- Review artist and venue settlements to prepare flash reports (P&L’s), coordinating with both venue partners and internal operation teams to gather and review relevant support
- Manage and develop accounting support staff (i.e. primarily Staff Accountants I-II)
- Assist Manager with account reconciliations and regional consolidations.
- Reconciliation of event P&Ls in subsequent months to ensure accuracy before closing the event project.
- Ensure artist settlements are accurate and payment is swift upon completion of performances.
- Reconcile General Ledger accounts and research to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare month end journal entries and reporting
- Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures / policies, including Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
- Maintains, controls and reconciles accounts that are moderately to very complex.
- Prepares daily, weekly, and/or monthly reports and schedules.
- Assist with special projects as assigned.
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
- 5-7 years’ comparable work experience
- Quality problem solving and communication skills with the willingness to develop other team members
- Oracle experience a plus
- Possess excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
