JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Sr. Director, NA FP&A to join our growing team.
Position Summary:
This senior leadership role is responsible for the financial planning, analysis, and reporting for JELD-WEN's North America segment, which includes the US and Canada. The role supports multiple business units (Doors, Windows, Distribution, and Building Products) and drives strategic initiatives to improve financial visibility, operational efficiency, and business performance.
The Senior Director will lead the financial reporting, forecasting, and budget processes, while also playing a key role in the company’s transformation efforts. The position requires working closely with cross-functional teams, including commercial operations, procurement, and plant management, to drive consistent financial standards, support business decisions, and help deliver on JELD-WEN’s strategic goals.
This role involves leading a team of FP&A professionals, contributing to transformational initiatives, improving financial processes, and ensuring the timely, accurate, and insightful reporting of financial data to support decision-making at all levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Leadership:
Provide strategic financial leadership across the North America segment by improving revenue and cost visibility, supporting transformation initiatives, and driving financial performance. - Business Partnering:
Work closely with business unit leaders, plant management, McKinsey, and the Transformation Management Office (TMO) to standardize financial processes, track performance, and ensure accurate forecasting and budgeting. - Forecasting & Budgeting:
Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting processes. Ensure budgets are realistic, achievable, and supported by thorough financial analysis. Monitor financial performance and provide insights on risks, opportunities, and corrective measures. - Strategic Planning:
Support the financial development and execution of the Full Potential Plan for North America. Provide detailed financial modeling, analysis, and support for key initiatives such as capital investments, make vs. buy decisions, and site rationalizations. - Transformation Initiatives:
Play an integral role in driving JELD-WEN’s transformation efforts. Work with the TMO to develop financial guidance, report performance metrics, and capture restructuring-related financial impacts.
- Standardization & Continuous Improvement:
Lead efforts to standardize financial processes and reporting. Drive continuous improvement through data reliability, system adoption, and the implementation of new tools. Act as a superuser for financial systems such as SAP and OneStream. - Team Leadership & Development:
Build and manage a high-performing FP&A team. Ensure the team and non-finance leaders have the financial acumen needed to achieve business objectives. Provide coaching, development, and leadership to foster an engaged, motivated finance team. - Operational Support:
Work with plant management to understand financial drivers and implement productivity initiatives. Own the forecasting and budgeting processes at the plant level, ensuring financial targets are met through proper planning and countermeasures.
Qualifications:
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. An advanced degree or CPA is preferred. - Experience:
- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with multi-site, multi-country operations.
- Proven track record in leading financial transformations and introducing process improvements.
- Familiarity with working for blue-chip, US-listed companies.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems and financial consolidation tools like OneStream.
