Job Description

This is a great opportunity to join a great company and growing sector: Canteen Vending Services. Canteen Vending is searching for a Data Analyst. This individual will perform business intelligence and statistical modeling by utilizing various data sources. The candidate must think creatively and work iteratively with business experts to provide advanced analytic solutions for business. They will assist in the preparation of reports and presentations of analyses, predictive models, and other data mining results.

Responsibilities

• Gather, examine, and analyze sets of data by utilizing statistical applications and techniques
• Work with purchasing systems to build reporting structure on SKU performance
• Analyze and evaluate model outputs; formulate and test hypotheses, weigh alternatives, and determine appropriate responses for actionable insights
• Design and implement processes for streamlining data extraction and validation processes
• Serve as a statistical expert to research, evaluate, and implement new analytic techniques or technologies
• Provide assistance and training to other analytics staff to improve and diversify analytic services offered to the field
• Understand comparative data trends and integrate relevant benchmark data into existing analyses and reports

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent in math, informatics, economics, or statistics required; advanced degree preferred
• 2+ years of experience in analytics, informatics, or statistics
• Experience in the unattended retail industry a plus
• Solid interpersonal skills and enjoyment of collaboration in a demanding and changing environment
• Ability to communicate with people at all levels
• Demonstrated expertise in manipulating and interpreting large datasets
• Knowledge of relational databases and reporting/analysis tools
• Experience with data management and analysis software
• Excellent teaming, communication, and time management skills are essential
• Ability to travel 50%, including overnight travel. A company car is provided
