AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Process Mechanical Engineer to join our Power & Industrial Power Delivery Team. This is an entry-level position and is based out of Bothell, WA or Exton, PA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with multi-discipline teams, collaborators, and clients.
• Proactive in obtaining needed information and support to complete work on time.
• Flexible in balancing workload and priorities across multiple projects with a commitment to safety.
• Maintain and build strong professional relationships with colleagues and clients.
• Ability to perform clear calculations with schematics, references, and assumptions.
• Ability to size equipment such as pumps, tanks, non-fired pressure vessels, compressors, boilers, heat exchangers, etc.
• Calculate pipe sizes for compressible and incompressible flows.
• Coordinating questions to/from equipment suppliers and reviewing submittal documents.
• Potential infrequent travel to project site, other offices, or manufacturing plants.

QUALIFICATIONS

• EXPERIENCE:
  • 0-2 Years of professional experience in a related technical field.
  • Prior internship experience (preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of power plant design, industrial facilities, renewable energy, and/or hydrogen gas (preferred).
• EDUCATION:
  • Completion of Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree from an ABET accredited college/university.
  • Knowledge of heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid flow.
• SPECIAL SKILLS:
  • Basic computer skills required to enter and manipulate data in spreadsheets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of CAD software, thermal modeling software, and flow modeling software (preferred).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
• PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS:
  • E.I. or E.I.T. or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire (strongly preferred)
