About the role
HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY
- Prepare and serve beverages using proper portions, recipes, and presentation standards.
- Maintain a fully stocked bar, including liquor, glassware, garnishes, and supplies.
- Operate a cash register, process payments accurately, and provide correct change.
- Adjust pace of service based on business volume while maintaining guest satisfaction.
- Monitor beverage, fruit, and supply usage to support cost‑control efforts.
- Set up and break down assigned bar stations.
- Conduct inventory at the start of each shift and requisition items as needed.
- Clean spills and maintain sanitation standards throughout the shift.
- Take and serve cocktail orders promptly and courteously.
- Count down register drawers and complete required summaries.
- Log stock usage and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure bar appearance meets county health and department standards.
- Provide attentive, courteous service and respond to guest needs.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain proper grooming and uniform standards.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to perform reaching, stooping, and repetitive motions.
- Visual ability to measure ingredients accurately.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift at least 20 lbs repeatedly.
- Ability to handle intoxicated guests professionally.
- Ability to tolerate secondary tobacco smoke.
- Shifts may vary based on business needs.
- Ability to work in outdoor environment where surfaces may be wet or slippery, always requiring heightened awareness and safe movement.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- One year of prior bartending experience required.
- Completion of union apprenticeship program and possession of a union Pour Card (if applicable).
- Knowledge of beverages, glassware, garnishes, and bar operations.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to interact effectively with guests, coworkers, and the public.
- Ability to accurately count money and process transactions.
- Ability to uphold integrity and meet standards required in a regulated business.
