Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Rail/Transit Program Management Director to be based in Sacramento, CA Office.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage programs that are medium to mega in size and complexity.
- Provides the organization with technical leadership and strategic direction for program delivery globally.
- Champion for ethical and safe working practices.
- Drives innovation in program management approaches and methodology to achieve marketplace differentiation.
- Works with Global Business Lines, Regional leadership and Market Sector Leaders to identify new business opportunities and develop solutions to address them.
- Identifies areas of high risk and pro-actively takes actions to positively impact program outcomes.
- Contributes to the global learning and people development strategy for program management, including identification of talent gaps and resourcing plans.
- Assess long-term and disruptive trends in their area of expertise. Proposes skill development approaches and workforce planning to deliver capabilities for the future.
- Actively supports the attraction and retention of talent across area of expertise.
- Accountable for overall financial success and delivery of AECOM Program Management agreement.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- BS/BA + extensive experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preferred Professional Engineering License (for roles in USA), Chartered status or equivalent may be required for certain roles
- Able to develop strong relationships and manage all client stakeholders (internal and external).
- Demonstrates exemplary leadership attributes that provide role modelling for others.
- Able to build consensus to change program strategy in challenging situations.
- Ability to apply principles and practices of project management, commercial management, and program management; project controls and reporting techniques; construction project phases and disciplines.
- Use analytical techniques to provide solutions; meet deadlines; work and communicate effectively with others using courtesy, respect, and sensitivity; and follow and adhere to company policies.
- Familiar with PMO roles and responsibilities
- Developing external network of industry contacts and peers.
- Is known among clients for successfully completing small to medium size programs.
- Has developing experience managing others practicing the program competencies on a program.

- Offered rate of compensation in California will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $250,000 - $310,000
