Summary

As a Logistics Coordinator at DSV, you will be responsible for coordinating and processing requests from customers, with the goal of meeting and exceeding customer expectations, while accurately tracking various shipment pick-ups to their final deliveries. The ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment is critical. Execution of job duties will require a team-oriented individual that is customer service focused, and able to obtain a strong knowledge of systems and vendor capabilities. This individual will be an integral part of the coordination of transportation and operations for DSV Road Transport contractors, company drivers and customers.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the movement of goods from suppliers to customers.
  • Communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure shipments are delivered on time and according to customer specifications.
  • Works closely with team members to meet or exceed all customer service requirements.
  • Utilizes various transportation software systems to facilitate material movement, planning and scheduling.
  • Provides directions and relays pricing guidelines for other representatives.
  • Handles dispatch with contractors, company drivers and partner carriers.
  • Responsible for accurate data capture and system entry.
  • Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and customs documentation.
  • Track shipments and manage inventory levels.
  • Assist in resolving any issues that arise during the shipping process, including delays, damages, and lost shipments.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

 

Educational background / Work experience

  • A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • At least 1 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management is preferred.
  • Experience working in a transportation or logistics company is a plus.

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and customs requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Experience using transportation management software is a plus.

 

Language skills

  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Fluency in additional languages is a plus.

 

Computer Literacy

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is required.
  • Experience using transportation management software is a plus.

 

 

 

 

 

For this position, the expected base pay is: $20.50 - $27.50/ Hourly.  Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
