Job Description

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach in our Dental Assisting Program. This is a part-time, professional position reporting directly to the Program Director. The primary responsibility will be to teach dental assisting courses. Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, assist the program director and participate in department training, meetings and graduation. 

 

Qualifications

• Completion of a Dental Assisting program resulting in a certificate of completion or diploma
• Certification:
  • RDA and/or
  • CDA and/or
  • EFDA and
  • DANB RHS Certification and
  • Radiology certification 
• At least three years of experience as a dental assistant in a clinical setting/chairside 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized, motivated and results driven
• Prior higher ed/postsecondary teaching experience preferred
