The Customer Tools department is part of Software Platforms & Connectivity, one of the product modules in the Vestas Technology & Operation unit. We are responsible for delivering the tools and services used in turbine and power plant service operations worldwide. As a SW Engineer, you will join an expert team working on new turbine platforms, improvement projects or specific tools projects.

 

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the development and maintenance of several tools and services that shape the way our turbines and plants are operated
• Be engaged in the early-stage feasibility studies of new products
• Be engaged during the functional and software requirements definition
• Be involved in software architectural design
• Write well-designed and testable code
• Be a part of the full software development lifecycle, including code review
• Be a good contributor in the continuous improvement of our processes and tools
• Be responsible for writing and updating comprehensive technical documentation and maintaining software functionality

 

Qualifications

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar 
• +2 years of working experience with software development
• Good programming skills in C# / .Net
• Knowledge of common programming patterns and test strategies
• Proficiency in software development tools
• Practical experience with product or technology development
• Good stakeholder management skills

 

You should have:

• Good software architecture and design skills
• Experience with unit testing (xUnit, FakeItEasy, etc.)
• Experience with REST APIs
