We are actively seeking for a Last Mile Senior Manager/Director to join our team at our offices in Marousi.

The candidate will oversee and manage the final stage of the delivery process across multiple locations, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of goods or services to the end customer in both B2B and B2C Channels and will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize last-mile delivery operations, enhance customer experience, and reduce costs. The Last Mile Senior Manager/Director collaborates with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, monitor performance metrics, and implement innovative technologies to improve delivery efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies to optimize last-mile delivery operations, including route planning, vehicle utilization, and delivery scheduling.
• Continuously evaluate and improve last-mile delivery processes to enhance efficiency, reduce delivery times, and minimize costs.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to last-mile delivery, such as on-time delivery rates, delivery accuracy, and customer satisfaction, and take corrective actions as needed.
• Develop and manage budgets for last-mile delivery operations, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement strategies to optimize expenses while maintaining service quality.
• Identify and implement innovative technologies and tools to streamline last-mile delivery operations, such as route optimization software, GPS tracking systems, and delivery management platforms.
• Collaborate with third-party logistics providers, carriers, and delivery partners to ensure seamless coordination and execution of last-mile delivery operations.
• Lead and motivate a team of distribution managers, dispatchers ,routing planner and support staff to achieve operational excellence and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Work closely with customer service teams to address customer concerns and feedback related to last-mile delivery and implement solutions to enhance the overall customer experience.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards governing last-mile delivery operations, including driver safety training, vehicle maintenance, and adherence to traffic laws.
• Identify and manage potential risks and challenges in last-mile delivery operations and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions and ensure continuity of service.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles, with expertise in last-mile delivery strategies and best practices.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data to drive decision-making and performance improvement.
• Demonstrate leadership abilities, with a track record of effectively managing teams and driving results in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to develop innovative solutions.
• Advanced business writing and oral skills both in Greek and English.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• 7 years of experience in a leadership role overseeing last-mile delivery operations, preferably in the logistics, e-commerce, or retail industry.
• Previous experience in the shipping freight forwarding industry is desirable.
• Proficiency in logistics software and tools, such as route optimization software, transportation management systems (TMS), and GPS tracking devices.
• Advanced MS Office skills.
